Weatherization Assistance Program ARRA (20 projects)
The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) enables low-income Arkansans who are below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level to permanently reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Weatherization assistance includes such services as: replacing broken windows; caulking and weather stripping doors and windows; insulating ceilings, walls and floors; installing storm windows and thermostats; and repairing and cleaning heating systems.

Arkansas State Energy Program Recovery (47 projects)
As a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the U.S. Department of Energy has provided the Arkansas Energy Office with funds for state energy efficiency and renewable energy programs developed and implemented under the State Energy Program (SEP). These funds are not available by direct application; however, funds may be available through grant and contract advertisements to be issued when programs are developed.

Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (48 projects)
The purpose of the program is to provide funding to local governments to reduce energy use and emissions. Allowable uses include strategic planning, consultant services, energy audits, implementing building code inspection services, energy efficiency retrofits and installing onsite renewable energy technologies.

Arkansas Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program (2 projects)
The Arkansas Energy Office, a division of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, is accepting rebate applications for the replacement of refrigerators, clothes washers and hot water heaters with ENERGY STARŪ models. The funds are part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and will help families make the transition to more efficient appliances.....Consumers must purchase an ENERGY STARŪ appliance from a participating retailer and replace their existing appliance with the newly purchased model in order to qualify for the rebate. Rebate applications and a listing of participating vendor are available at: www.AR.State-Rebate.com or www.arkansasenergy.org.....This is a Statewide program and begins March 15, 2010.

Enhancing Arkansas State Government Energy Assurance Capability and Resiliency Planning (4 projects)
This program focuses on developing new, or refining existing, plans to integrate new energy portfolios (renewables, biofuels, etc.) and new applications, such as Smart Grid technology, into energy assurance and emergency preparedness plans.

State Electricity Regulators Assistance-State of Arkansas (1 project)
Increase the capacity of the Arkansas Public Service Commission to plan and manage an anticipated significant increase in regulatory activity resulting from the following electricity-related topical areas stimulated by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA):. ...Conservation and Energy Efficiency...Demand Response...Renewable Energy...Energy Storage...Smart Grid and Automated Metering Infrastructure...Transmission...Distribution...Plug-in Electric Vehicles...Coal with Carbon Capture and Storage. .Create capacity on staff to engage in electricity system modernization in the long term and allow for regulatory support in the transformation of the electric grid, in coordination with other agencies in the State of Arkansas and the other States in our region and with the FERC. ...Deliverables.1.Project Management Plan: The PSC shall deliver to DOE a Project Management Plan as described above no later than 60 calendar days after acceptance of the award, revised as necessary throughout the performance period..2.Workforce Development Plan: PSC shall deliver a Workforce Development Plan within 90 calendar days after acceptance of the award, revised as necessary. .3.ARRA Case Monitoring Reports: The PSC shall deliver to DOE an initial ARRA Case Monitoring Report as described above no later than six months after acceptance of the award. The PSC shall deliver subsequent ARRA Case Monitoring Reports quarterly. .4.Reports and Orders Pertaining to Ongoing or Future Dockets and Activity at the Commission. The PSC shall report at least annually on decisions and orders in the various types of dockets that pertain to modernization of the electricity system.
